Joining CCA is done via the Athletics Victoria website’s members portal in 3 easy steps:
Competing Athletes
Athlete membership provides full access to Casey Fields Regional Athletics Centre during our allocated training time, Coaches, Club equipment and Gym. As well as allowing eliglibilty to purchase an AV events package and Victorian Championship events and includes insurance and member discounts through AV partner program.
Packages
XCR
XCR is our premier winter series, combining Cross Country, Club Team Relays and Road Racing in a fun mix of distance events. The XCR Package provides entry to all 10 rounds* in iconic locations across Victoria such as Ballarat’s Lake Wendouree, Sandown Racecourse, St Anne’s Winery, Albert Park Lake, The Tan and more. *Round 4 is a combined All Schools event, Junior and Dual members must enter via the All Schools competition
T&F
The T&F package includes all 12 rounds of Athletics Victoria Shield League (AVSL) , a Summer Track and Field series where athletes score points based on performance that go towards their Club’s total, with the top Clubs playing off in the AVSL Final.
AVSL is for all ages and abilities, a great place to start out and give Athletics a go. For more information on AVSL, visit the Athletics Victoria Shield League event page.
Max
The Max Package includes both the XCR and T&F Packages for athletes who compete year round, with great savings to be had by all age groups.
Coaching Membership
Pivotal to the sport of athletics are the dedicated and hardworking coaches who provide a link between athletes, their clubs and the competition options available to them. Coaches come in all shapes and sizes, varied levels of experience and diverse backgrounds. Through their insight and guidance all types of athlete are provided the training and knowledge to compete to the best of their abilities
Just like athletes, Coaches are involved in a constant cycle of development and improvement which can lead to many wonderful opportunities. You can visit the Coaching Information page for more information on courses available and how to become accredited.
Officials Membership
An integral part of any competition are the Officials who guide our programs and manage event day procedures. Highly trained and skilled in delivering athletics to all ages and abilities, Officials are the key to a successful sporting experience for our members.
Being an Official can open doors to wide range of events and experiences, as well as provide social opportunities within an exciting sport. Ongoing education and training, together with mentoring programs are central to the commitment Athletics Victoria provides our Officials.

Associate Membership
Recreational
Recreational Runner membership provides some fantastic benefits including; personal accident insurance coverage through Athletics Victoria, discounted entry to AV’s XCR’18 (winter cross country) series*, discounted entry to various coaching and educational seminars, access to deals and discounts through AV’s partnership with SportsPass.
